Partnerships
Rural Civic Journal considers partnerships that fit its coverage of rural places and civic life and are presented clearly to readers. Proposals should explain the connection to the subject and the intended benefit for readers.
Possible collaborations
We consider relevant partner features, resource mentions, event or project notices and placements across the site. Each proposal is assessed for subject fit, clarity and whether readers can readily understand what is being offered.
Clear labelling
Paid, commissioned or partner-supported material is labelled at the point where it appears. A label should make the relationship understandable, not blur partner material with independent editorial work.
Editorial boundaries
Partnerships do not determine editorial conclusions, guarantee coverage or confer editorial approval. We may decline proposals that are outside the publication's scope or that cannot be presented clearly and fairly.
Making a proposal
Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Describe the organisation or project without assuming a placement, and include the proposed subject, format and relationship. No acceptance or existing partnership is implied by submitting a proposal.
Rural life deserves a close reading
Distance, place and public choices affect one another. Understanding those connections makes rural civic life easier to discuss.
